Helen Elizabeth Kuumbi is a landscape and seascape painter, working in oils and acrylics and natural inks. Her work explores the narrative of place and its natural and human history. Her paintings are in private collections in Australia, Switzerland, USA and Austria. For twenty years Helen has been the bassist/double bassist for, Black Friday, a high energy folk-punk band. The studio doubles up as a practice space. Over the years the band have played some of Europe’s biggest festivals, including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Donau-insel fest and Electric Picnic.
