Maker Camp, situated in Cornwall’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, seeks a dynamic and versatile individual interested in upskilling themselves toward the role of Campsite Supervisor.
About Maker Camp
Maker Camp offers semi-wild camping, in a stunning historic landscape. We are committed to promoting a quiet enjoyment of Maker Heights, ensuring a safe space for families and camper. The campsite is just a short walk from the charming villages and beaches of Kingsand and Cawsand.
Summer Internship at Maker Camp
This internship is open to applicants of all ages and social backgrounds. Flexible working across shifts will include weekend work. A successful applicant will be working closely with the site team to develop the following skills:
Managing campsite team members.
Ensuring the smooth operation of the campsite, maintaining exacting standards of customer service.
Managing campsite reception, welcoming and checking in visitors.
Briefing visitors on facilities, terms and conditions, and health and safety issues.
Handling campsite bookings, refund requests, and administrative activities
Reporting maintenance issues to Maker Heights Ltd.
Occasional cleaning and other duties as required
Leading by example, demonstrating a friendly and welcoming attitude in line with our ethos.
Terms and Conditions
£12.0 per hour, PAYE, with pro-rata holiday entitlement.
Available from mid July to the end of the first week of October 2024.
Minimum of 10 hours during the low season, with potential for increased hours during peak times.
Experience/skills
Passion for the environment and responsible camping.
Fun and energetic attitude.
Excellent customer service skills.
Flexibility and dedicated team worker
Flexible working across shifts will include weekend work.
